Parbst, President of Ludvig Svensson Americas says that a well-installed
and well-sealed energy curtain system can save up to 50 percent of
energy costs when it is being used, adding up to an average 30 to

Shares Valuable Lesson About Tube Motors
Mark Sineath is the head grower at McCroy's Greenhouse
in Florida. He took a few moments to speak with us about his experiences
with natural ventilation. McCroy's was using tube motors to automatically
operate their side roll-up walls. However they found the tube motors
weren't tough enough and they were replacing them annually. In 2006
they started switching them over to Wadsworth's VC 2000 with internal
limit switches. Mark told us, 'I'm a 100% believer in the Wadsworth
system; I'm not a fan of tube motors. The sales guys for the tube
motors said 'this is the best choice' suddenly here comes a Wadsworth.'

Please
be advised that most states have some type of restriction on mercury.
Each state has their own rules and regulations, for more
information on the restrictions please consult the NEMA website,
http://nema.org/gov/env_conscious_design/mercury/.
As
you are probably aware, Wadsworth uses mercury in our external limit
switches. We suggest ordering our internal limit switches to avoid
any possible issues. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by
these state regulations. We are pleased that Wadsworth offers an
internal limit switch that has no mercury as well as the Versatile
Vent control which can increment vents based on time thus eliminating
the need for the external mercury limit switches.
