Mechanical Assembly Position

Wadsworth Control Systems, originator of greenhouse automation in North America, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Arvada, Colorado. Assembles, tests and packages mechanical subassemblies and complete units. Uses hand tools and small power tools to assemble units. Pulls parts and products to fill orders per established procedures.

We will train you in lean manufacturing and working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

This job includes:

  • Lean Manufacturing (kanban, 5S, standard work, flow, flexible workforce, etc.)
  • Forklift operation
  • Hand tool operation
  • Power tool operation
  • Computer entry into an ERP (shipping, receiving, and shop floor)

Required:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be able to lift 70 lbs. and work standing

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a shop floor/warehouse environment.
  • Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly or related field is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

  •  As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Wadsworth Control Systems provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
  • The starting pay for this role is $19 per hour.
